Scholarships to Support Unique, hands-on STEM training in Marine Science!

Kutztown University offers a unique opportunity for PA students to study Marine Science!  A fifty plus year partnership with the Marine Science Consortium/Chincoteague Bay Field Station makes it possible for our land-locked students to access the ocean. Our students gain experience on boats and in the field learning to use both traditional and high-tech instrumentation-- opportunities often reserved for graduate students at other institutions. 

Field-intensive summer classes provide students with a unique advantage and better prepare them to successfully enter the job market or graduate school following their B.S. degree. Unfortunately, the cost of room, board, and equipment fees to participate in these required summer courses are creating hurdles for many of our students, and that’s why we’re participating in this campaign. 

Our scholarships will cover all CBFS fees for one 3-week summer class per student! Every cent of your donation will go directly to a KU student to make their summer experience at the field station possible.
