1866 Minute Giving Challenge
The 1866 Minute Giving Challenge begins at 7:00 am Wednesday, Oct. 15 & ends at 2:06 pm on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2025
For 1,866 minutes each year, we solely focus on gaining support for KU organizations, projects, programs, and athletics. Gifts are encouraged online and can be made by phone, or check/cash donations can be received in person and by mail (between October 15 and October 16).

EVERYONE in the KU community can participate and collectively inspire others to support the goals of KU departments, clubs, organizations, programs, and athletics this year! This is a team effort…ask faculty, staff, and students connected to your mission to promote your efforts and fundraise! Tell folks about your incredible work at KU and how much their support will make a difference!

- Build your case for support and submit your participation form for 1866. Feel free to send us your information using the form above!
September 2025:
- Stay tuned to this page and our socials for announcements, including workshops with Foundation staff to ensure your team is ready!
October 2025:
- All materials are due to Foundation staff for finalization!
- Post the hype! Share Challenge information with your network of support! Spread the word on social media, email, text, or phone!
