Feed the Bear Can-Art Stacking Contest

Let your creativity shine for a cause! Join us for the Can-Art Stacking Contest, a spirited challenge where teams construct imaginative sculptures from canned goods to support the Bear Essentials Food Pantry. Hosted by the Office of Student Involvement and the KU Foundation, this exciting event blends teamwork, artistry, and community impact—with a $500 first prize on the line! Plan to arrive at at 5:30 p.m. Sculpting starts promptly at 6 p.m., with judging after 8 p.m. on Friday, October 17. Team registration is required, and participation is free. Let’s build for a better tomorrow—together!

Women’s Lacrosse Alumni Game

Lace up and hit the field! Reconnect with teammates and relive the glory days at the Women’s Lacrosse Alumni Game. After the final whistle, enjoy complimentary breakfast refreshments in the Nancy Jean Stump Seiger ’54 Multipurpose Room of the McFarland Student Union. The event is free to attend, but registration is required. Afterward, continue the Homecoming spirit at the DMZ with food, fun, and Golden Bear pride!
Judy Lawes Hall of Fame Celebration Breakfast

Help us honor a KU legend! Celebrate Coach Judy Lawes’ induction into the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Hall of Fame, Class of 2025. Join fellow alumni and fans for a morning of recognition and fun! The celebration begins with light breakfast refreshments before heading to the softball field at for the 2025 Homecoming Home Run Derby with Coach Lawes herself. This complimentary event requires registration—come cheer on one of KU’s finest!

Kick off your Homecoming morning with great company, a hearty meal—and a very special celebration! Join us as we celebrate Avalanche’s 20th birthday at the Golden Bear Breakfast Buffet, Saturday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the McFarland Student Union’s Nancy Jean Stump Seiger ’54 Multipurpose Room. Enjoy a delicious breakfast spread, reconnect with alumni of all ages, and toast milestone reunions with a complimentary mimosa ticket for class years ending in 5 or 0. Don’t miss the Can-Art Contest results, a fun 360-photo booth, and an impressive KU history display presented by Jason Graver ’92, ’18, and his wife Karin ’92. Raise a glass to Homecoming! The Bear Tent is your go-to spot to relax, mingle, and enjoy KU spirit. Guests 21+ will enjoy a hot dog bar, soft pretzels, and a selection of drinks—beer from alum-owned Punch Buggy Brewing, Galen Glen wine, and refreshing mocktails—all served in a collectible Homecoming cup! Advance tickets are $20; $25 at the tent. Space is limited—register early!
Cub Tent

Bring the whole family to the fun zone! Enjoy live music from all-alum/student band Tumbleweed, pumpkin painting, inflatables, a petting zoo, a mechanical bull, and more. Support the Bear Essentials Food Pantry with donations, and unwind at the sensory booth hosted by Disability Services. Refreshments will be provided, with additional food available for purchase.
